Mumbai 1 Transit ("we", "our", or "the app") is a public transport companion app for Mumbai. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

• Location data: When you set a station alert, the app accesses your device's location in the background to detect when you are approaching your destination station. Location data is processed on-device and is not stored on our servers.
• Crowd-sourced train positions: If you report a live train position, an anonymous data point (train number, timestamp, approximate location) may be sent to our servers to improve live tracking for all users. No personal information is attached.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not require account creation or login.
• We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any personal identifiers.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.
• We do not sell your data to any third party.

3. How We Use Location Data

Location access is used solely to trigger station proximity alerts — notifying you when you are near your selected destination station. This feature works in the background only when you have actively set a station alert. You can stop location access at any time by disabling the alert or revoking location permission in your device settings.

4. Data Storage

All app preferences and recent trips are stored locally on your device using device storage. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

5. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

• Expo – App framework and push notification delivery.

These services have their own privacy policies and data practices.

6. Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
